Hi, I’m April! I’m a Registered Dietitian, food lover, chef and health enthusiast.
Welcome to The Thin Kitchen, a blog that delivers engaging, colorful content aimed at both weight loss and providing healthy recipes and dietitian tips! My primary goal is to help you live a more happy & healthy life. Most of my recipes are gluten-free and use anti-inflammatory foods to help improve your energy levels and boost your metabolism.
I grew up in Orange County and currently live in Newport Beach with my miniature Australian Shepard named Lucy. I run a Dietitian Private Practice in Newport Beach, helping people prevent disease and reach a healthy weight through food. I also provide Personal Chef Services and healthy meal programs to clients in the Orange County Area.
Growing up in Orange County, I have always felt the pressure to be thin. However, after years of misunderstanding nutrition, making diet mistakes, and struggling with food and body image as well as weight fluctuation, I made an important realization: feeling good about yourself doesn’t come from your weight, it comes from the way you treat yourself.
The information and tips that I’ll provide you are a direct reflection of what’s in my kitchen, and of how I live my own life. I hope that my recipes and posts inspire you to continue on a path toward your healthiest, fittest, happiest you.
